Hello and Welcome
My name is Bronac McNeill. I was born in Belfast in 1968. A good year for my parents, not a good year for Northern Ireland!
Purpose
I have created this site (in conjunction with many members of the family) for my family and those to come. The initial idea for the site was as a method of recording our family today with photos and stories that should be shared with all and not hidden or lost over time.
I hope to constantly build the site with photos of our new members and with any new information I get on our ancestors, so we all can share the joy of new arrivals and the knowledge of those from the past.
Above all my aim is to celebrate the family.
Please enjoy and feel free to contact me with more information if you have any.
Family News: 1st Anniversay of the death of Edward(6) McNeill
Eddie(6) will be remembered by his wife, children, grand children, family and friends. He never gave up and still had a smile on his face, was always worrying about other people and not how sick he was himself. He is missed every day and will always be in our prayers and thoughts, and we know he is watching us every minute of the day.
TIME TO PRAY
I got up early one morning
An rushed right into the day;
I had so much to accomplish
That I didn't take time to pray.
Problems just tumbled about me,
And heavier came each task,
"Why doesn't God help me"
I wondered.
He answered, "You didn't ask."
I wanted to see joy and beauty
But the day toiled on, gray and bleak,
I wondered why God didn't show me,
He said, "But you didn't seek."
I tried to come into God's presence;
I used all my keys at the lock.
God gently and lovingly chided,
"My child, you didn't knock."
I woke up early this morning
And paused before entering the day.
I had so much to accomplish
That I had to take time to pray.
Thought for the day:
Sorrow is a flame that not only hurts
but cleanses while it burns.
Our love and prayers to all the McNeill's around the world.

Family members please feel free to send more photos if your beautiful mug is missing or you have old photos that would be of interest to all of us. Also please pass the details of the website on to the rest of the clan so everyone is included in our celebration.
Have you noticed how un-original we are with names?
Or
How few boys there are to carry on the great McNeill name?
